The University Writing Center is hosting a four-day online Graduate Writing Retreat for students working on theses and dissertations from Monday, January 6th through Thursday, January 9th. This retreat will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day over Zoom. There is no cost to participants.
Our goal with this retreat is to provide a productive environment for students trying to complete their theses and dissertations. The majority of your time each day will be spent writing with a lunch break at noon.
In addition to writing time, participants will also receive the following assistance during the writing retreat: daily 30-45 minute coaching feedback sessions with advanced writing consultants; strategic goal-setting and writing tips; and finally, curated writing resources that other graduate students have found helpful.
This retreat has a few requirements. Participants must be actively writing theses and dissertations to qualify for attendance and must commit to attending the each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants must also have access to laptop/computer/camera capable of using Zoom.
Registration is limited, and this popular event fills very quickly. Registration for the Graduate Retreat will open on Monday, December 8th at 8:00 a.m. (U.S. Central time) at this link.
