What Types of Appointments Can I Make?
In-person
Meet with a writing/speaking consultant in person. Bring questions or ideas, papers, videos, slides, or outlines. You can also make appointments for a group working together on a project. Or we can watch you deliver a presentation in our practice room and give you feedback.
Online Document Upload
Submit your papers, slides, or videos online. You'll get our next available appointment. You won't get an immediate reply, but we'll let you know when you can expect a response at the time you submit. A writing/speaking consultant will spend up to 45 minutes making comments on your work.
Web Conferencing
Meet with a writing/speaking consultant for up to 45 minutes online via Zoom. You can also make appointments for a group working together on a project. We can look at papers, presentations, slides, or videos (such as videos of you delivering a speech). Or we can discuss your assignments and just brainstorm. This session type works best if you have a camera and microphone on your computer.
Need Proof of Your Visit?
If you need proof that you visited the UWC, let your consultant know, or contact us to send a report. We'll email the report to your university email, and you can forward it as needed. We never share reports of your sessions unless you're involved in an issue related to academic integrity, and then we'll only share with a responsible university administrator.
