Make an Appointment
The University Writing Center (UWC) encourages you to make appointments for one-on-one consultations. Talking to a certified writing consultant can give you a fresh perspective on your writing. We can help with any kind of writing and at any stage of the writing process, whether you’re narrowing your topic, organizing your ideas, or proofreading your final draft. Our goal is to help you become a better writer.
Sessions are limited to no more than 45 minutes. and are limited to one per day. Scroll down on this page to see all our Ground Rules for consultations.
You may make appointments online or by calling the UWC at (979) 458-1455. You can make appointments for either one of our two locations: Evans Library or West Campus Library.
Oral Presentations
We do not yet have a dedicated space for practicing oral presentations. If you would like to go over your presentation during your appointment, stop at the library’s circulation desk on your way in and reserve a study room. After you have signed in at the Writing Center, your consultant will accompany you to the study room.
