[GUITAR MUSIC]
BOB: WOAH!
BROOKE: Dude! What’s wrong?
BOB: I have no idea how to even start this paper.
BROOKE: Well you know there’s a writing center right down the hall and I’m sure they could really help you out.
BOB: I never had any idea that was there.
BROOKE: Do you want to go?
BOB: Of course!
BROOKE: Sweet! Let’s go!
MEGHAN: Howdy! Welcome to the University Writing Center. Come by our office located on the second floor of Evans Library. We are also located on the second floor of the West Campus Library.
Have a paper due next week and don’t know where to start? No, problem. We offer one-on-one consultations where we can help you at any stage of the writing process. You can either come in for a 45 minute private session or you can submit your paper online at writingcenter.tamu.edu, and a consultant will read it, give suggestions, and have it back to you within 24-48 hours. Appointments start on the hour and can be made in person at the front desk, over the phone at 979-458-1455, or at our website. Drop-ins are welcome when space is available.
Do you just have a quick question that you need answered?
Consultants are available to answer 5 minute questions without an appointment or you can call the write line at 979-845-2160 during regular business hours.
Graduate students working on a thesis or dissertation can join the Data Program, which allows them to schedule multiple consultations with the same consultant.
For help with a variety of writing issues we have handouts available outside the center and online and quick marks at the front desk.
We also offer writing workshops for graduate or undergraduate students on topics ranging from how to publish a paper to writing a research paper. For a list of upcoming workshops, check out our website.
Our mission at the writing center is to provide the tools you need to become a better writer. And since you’re already paying $8 a semester, you might as well use our services and get your money’s worth.
So please come visit us today either on the second floor of Evans library or the second floor of the West Campus library. Check us out online at our website, on iTunes, or at our Facebook page. Thanks and Gig ‘em.
