The University Writing Center offers several options for undergraduates seeking help when they don’t have time for one-on-one consultations. We have a Write Line that you can call for quick-help tips and hints: (979) 845-2160.
Online Writing Lab
Additionally, the UWC hosts an Online Writing Lab (OWL), an electronic help desk that can guide students to resources that answer many writing questions. The OWL also accepts paper submissions, which our consultants will review and return. Undergraduates are welcome to submit entire papers, but we can offer more thorough and extensive feedback when you focus on specific portions of your paper. Consultants do not edit or proofread OWL submissions. We offer advice and suggestions to guide editing, just as we would in person.
Please note that after we receive a paper, our goal is respond within one to two working days. (Submissions will be read only when the UWC is open.)
