Fall issue of faculty newsletter published
Writing Matters, Fall 2007 issue

The Fall 2007 issue of the University Writing Center faculty newsletter is available in print and online.

This issue features the Writing Center's two podcasts: Write Away, for faculty, and the new Write Right podcast for students. Also included are announcements regarding W course recertification and new classroom workshops, a showcase of successful uses of blogs and wikis in W courses, and discussions on academic integrity.

Printed copies of the newsletter are being distributed to all faculty via campus mail. The newsletter also is available in PDF form. Faculty who do not receive their copy may contact Margarette Goss at 458-1455 or uwc@tamu.edu.

Did you know?
  • Almost 60 percent of UWC users are female.
  • In Spring 2007, UWC consultants conducted 31 percent more consultations and visted with 19 percent more students than they did in Spring 2006.
  • Mondays are by far the busiest days in terms of consultations, with the hours of 10 a.m.-1 p.m. being the most popular.
