Words of Wisdom

I think it’s fairly common for writers to be afflicted with two simultaneous yet contradictory delusions: the burning certainty that we’re unique geniuses, and the constant fear that we’re witless frauds who are speeding toward epic failure.

— Scott Lynch

This workshop is structured around a Jeopardy! game that covers basic punctuation and grammar issues, such as commas, subject-verb agreement, misplaced modifiers, and style choices. Each question has an optional explanation screen that goes into detail about the rule or guideline discussed. Students are encouraged to ask questions to clarify meaning or further explain the error discussed. The slides below won't work quite properly as Jeopardy!; they have to be downloaded and viewed in PowerPoint to work.
