{UWC hiring media interns & student graphic designer}

The UWC is currently accepting applications for its student media team. These part-time positions will begin in the fall of 2017. (Students graduating in December of 2017 will not be considered.)

If you're interested in doing creative work in a casual and supportive on-campus environment, this might be the job for you!

Media Interns
Position: We're looking for experienced and talented students to help us produce videos and/or podcasts. Under the guidance of a UWC administrator, you'll write, edit, and produce content, as well as conducting interviews and recording narration. You'll create both promotional and educational materials in a relaxed office with lots of other student workers. This is a great opportunity to add to your media portfolio. Plan to work between 10 and 20 hours a week with your schedule built around your classes.

Requirements: Knowledge of video and/or audio editing software programs is required, along with excellent communication skills. Must be comfortable both in front of AND behind a camera or microphone. Must have samples of previous media work available. Must be available to work as a student until at least May 2018. (And let us know if you qualify for Work/Study funding.)

Graphic Designer
Position
: Student designer wanted to work between 10 and 20 hours a week designing flyers, social media graphics, presentations, and educational materials. This is a great opportunity to build your design portfolio. Hours can be adjusted to suit your class schedule.

Requirements: Applicants must be experienced with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and PhotoShop, and have a good understanding of basic design principles. Previous graphic design experience and/or training is required. Photography skills and drawing ability are a plus. Experience with Macs preferred. Must have samples of your previous work available for us to review. Must be available to work as a student through at least May 2018. (And let us know if you qualify for Work/Study funding.)
