Thad arrived in College Station to pursue a graduate degree in History after completing a dual-major B.A. degree in History and English from the University of Houston. He started working at the Texas A&M University Writing center (UWC) as a graduate student consultant in 2010. 

At the UWC, Thad runs the graduate writing retreats, maintains the website, teaches tutor certification classes, and conducts assessments to measure the impact of UWC services. Much of his day is spent on 'other duties as assigned.' 

Favorite writing strategy: have a conversation about your writing! Writing is fundamentally a social activity, so writing benefits from social interaction. The UWC can help you talk about your ideas, refine your style, hit benchmarks, and feel a little less lost in your work.
